Well I have said on here and in other outlets for a long time that when you start to target groups of people and take their rights away it is never long before you find some of your own rights will be up on the chopping block soon enough.
And Arizona has been so kind as to prove my point. This state which has passed the “driving while brown” bill. (still fighting the feds to keep it on the books).
Now wants women to prove to their “overlords” (employers) why they need birth control. And if the company they work for thinks the reason is not good enough (by their standards) they can claim for “religious reasons” that they can’t pay for this basic part of women’s health care. And we know a company will never ever claim to have found true faith just to cut it’s insurance premium’s, right?
I am not going to get into all the reasons why this new bill is wrong. I am only going to point out here when you start to target groups of people and their rights that it ends up hurting us all. As it seems it is never long before “YOUR” group is the next target.
Want to protect yourself? Then fight like hell to make sure others (even if you don’t like them) get to keep their rights.
